Starting just after New Year's and lasting til the library birthday party the first weekend of March, the Alamogordo FOL sponsors an Adult Reading Challenge. Quite simply, we ask our entrants to read as many books as they possibly can in a two month span. The winners receive some wonderful prizes at the library birthday party.

The grand prize winner of the Adult Reading Challenge gets one additional perk - namely, they get to choose the book for our One City, One Book program which is held in the fall.

Entrie are divided into three categories:
- Regular
- Homebound
- Full-Time Employee
