2013 Adult Reading Challenge
All new rules and prizes!
This year, the Friends of the Alamogordo Public Library have decided to shake things up by revamping the annual Adult Reading Challenge with you, the reader benefitting!
Starting Friday, January 4th, read as much as you can with the ending date being Thursday, February 28th. The difference this year is that you will count the number of pages read rather than the number of books. So if you have a yearning to read Marcel Proust’s, In Search of Lost Time, (which holds the Guinness Book of World Records for longest novel at 4,211 pages) but thought you’d have to wait until March, you are in luck! It will count the same as several shorter books of the same page count!
The other big news is that the prize for the overall “most pages read”winner will be an Amazon Kindle e-book reader! There will also be other prizes. You can't win if you don't enter!
Pick up an entry form starting Friday, January 4th at the library circulation desk or print your own using the link below.
